Is it possible to recover cells from QGel MT 3D matrices after encapsulation?

For sub-culture, cells can be recovered from QGel™ MT 3D Matrices by proteolytic digestion of the gels with trypsin (e.g. TrypLE™ from Invitrogen). Detailed protocol is available on this other FAQ.

 

For RNA/DNA analysis, gels can be digested by Proteinase K, Collagenase or even mechanically destroyed. More information and protocols for DNA or RNA extraction can be found here.
